Subject: Agent, Run on behalf of - not working?
Feedback Type: Problem
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: Security
Platform: Windows XP client
Release: 8.0.2
Reproducible: Always

Hi guys,

In our CRM-system we have a socalled "overview"-function, where I would like to show some info from another database.
Problem is the users have no-access to the other database and therefore cannot get the data. I thought that with the function being called through an agent (Action menu selection, all selected documents) the users could get access to the data by running the agent on behalf of an administrator.
But it doesn't work, even though:
- I've selected the administrator in the "run on behalf of" property on the agent
- saved the agent using my own ID (which is a member of the group assigned on the server document to allow the "sign agents to run on behalf of others.."

What's wrong? or have I misunderstood the purpose of the run on behalf of-property and is there perhaps another solution to my problem - without running a server-based agent ??

Regards
Peter
